WoTEAM-1
The XII International Conference ELMECO-12 & I Interdisciplinary Student-Doctoral Workshop WoTEAM-1 take place from November 18th to November 20th, 2026, at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science of Lublin University of Technology.
The international ELMECO Conference has been held periodically since 1994 (every two years, with a few exceptions, such as the postponement of the 9th edition to 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic). In 2026, the 12th edition (ELMECO-12) will take place.
ELMECO-12 is:
(a) an INTERNATIONAL event, as evidenced by the planned participation of international attendees (including WoTEAM-1 participants) from countries such as Poland, the United States, India, Italy, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Ukraine, Slovakia, Czech Republic and Japan; and
(b) an INTERDISCIPLINARY event, bringing together researchers representing the following disciplines:
Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Space Technologies;
Environmental Engineering;
Materials Engineering;
Mining, and Energy;
Computer Engineering and Telecommunications;
Biomedical Engineering.
Over the past 30 years, the long-standing members of the Organizing Committee have observed a growing interest in scientific research among undergraduate and graduate students, PhD candidates, and early-career researchers. In response to this trend, as well as to the increasing need to educate a new generation of scientists and engineers equipped with creative thinking, the ability to collaborate effectively in international teams, strong problem-solving skills for unconventional engineering challenges, and an interdisciplinary approach to research, development, and commercialization, the Organizing Committee has decided to launch the first edition of the international interdisciplinary WoTEAM-1 Workshop. The WoTEAM workshops will also be organized on a biennial basis as a spin-off event of the ELMECO Conference.
City of Lublin
Lublin is the capital and the largest city in the Lublin Voivodeship and Eastern Poland. Home to five public universities, including the John Paul II Catholic University and Lublin University of Technology, and a wide range of private universities, it is also the leading center of higher education in the region. Every year, more than 7,000 new foreign students from over 100 countries arrive in Lublin. Students willingly choose Lublin due to the comfortable living conditions and high-quality education it offers.
Lublin is home to numerous unique cultural events. Situated at the frontier between the European Union and Eastern Europe, Lublin has for many years played host to popular and renowned international festivals dedicated to theater, music, and literature. A wide selection of theaters, galleries, and museums, as well as student clubs, art. cafes, and pubs, many of them tucked inside the historic tenement houses in the Old Town, offer a place of entertainment and rest for both the local population and the ever-growing number of tourists.
It is the abundance and diversity of cultural events, as well as the energy of young people living here, that have made Lublin the first Polish city to be awarded the title of European Youth Capital 2023.
We warmly invite you to participate in the ELMECO-12 Conference & Workshop WoTEAM-1, during which we provide additional activities related to exploring the city of Lublin.
